Dear Dr. Eisenmann-Klein ! Your kind letter as of May 25, reached me with some delay at a time when I was so burdened with work that unfortunately I was not able to give you a prompt answer. Returning from a beautiful day spent in the shrines of Assisi and just like under the blessings of this very special location, today I expressively want to thank you not only for your letter but also for all your work mirrored in each line of the letter. I vividly remember the visit of all the Directors of the Departments from the Caritas Hospital St. Josef, arranged by Bishop Schrarnl. More specially, I very well remember the conversation with you about Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. It is a topic I formerly had very small knowledge about and the importance of which came to my mind only upon your explanations. I am glad that you are now the General Secretary of IPRAS and that you will chair the next world congress. Based on your explanations, I recognise the great humanitarian importance of your work all over the world and specially in the developing countries, the huge engagement of all your fellow doctors for people in need as well as for a peaceful encounter between different cultures and religions. From the depth of my heart, I send you and all participants of the World Congress my Apostolic Blessings. Please give my best greetings to my homevillage Pentling.
With best personal regards and blessings of the Lord.
Benedictus PP XVI
